Dayshift 6am – 2:30pm

$24-26/hr DOE

Are you a skilled technician with a strong mechanical and electrical background? A local manufacturing facility is seeking a Machine Maintenance Technician to help keep production equipment running smoothly and efficiently. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on a variety of machinery and facility systems. If you're reliable, detail-oriented, and enjoy hands-on problem-solving, this could be a great fit for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on production machines and facility equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Diagnose and replace components such as motors, bearings, belts, and gearboxes\
  • Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and work orders
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and parts usage
  • Collaborate with production staff to minimize downtime and improve machine performance
  • Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and facility improvement projects
  • Follow all safety policies and ensure a clean, organized work area

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical or vocational training preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience in maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting principles
  • Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
  • Basic welding and fabrication skills (preferred)
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working in various conditions (standing, climbing, confined spaces)
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Dependable with reliable attendance
  • Understanding of cost impact related to downtime and repairs
  • Comfortable using Windows-based PC software
  • PLC troubleshooting and programming experience (preferred)
  • Familiarity with Lean or 5S principles (preferred)
