Job Purpose:

To provide support as the receptionist for the law firm in Sioux Center, IA. The primary duties of this role are to answer incoming phone calls and direct them as needed, assist incoming clients with questions and meetings & provide support for the team in the office.

Summary

Under the supervision of the Human Resources Director and attorneys in Sioux Center, this position provides receptionist support to attorneys and staff in the firm. Maintains professional contact with clients, attorneys and staff and observes confidentiality of firm and client matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Answer phone, respond to client questions within the scope of the role and assist with in person clients.
  2. Other duties as assigned by the HR Director and/or Attorneys of the firm.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  1. Ability to read and write at a level normally acquired through the completion of high school or equivalent education.
  2. Bi-lingual (Spanish) required.
  3. Ability to effectively communicate with a variety of individuals both orally and in writing.
  4. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  5. Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints giving attention to detail.
  6. Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate and follow instructions effectively from a diverse group of clients, attorney and staff and provide information with ordinary courtesy and tact.
  7. Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate by phone and provide information with ordinary courtesy and tact.
  8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite products including Excel, Outlook and Word.
  9. Ability to retrieve and distribute files, written documents or office supplies weighing up to 12 pounds and ability to retrieve and replace objects from shelves of up to 8 feet high.

Working Conditions:

  1. Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like.
